SGC Japanese Restaurant: A Sushi Delight in Corona, CA

Unless you set reservations or call or look online or a regular customer, you'd never know if this place is open at night. The parking lot is very dark. The exterior signage isn't on. We weren't sure it was open and almost completely passed on eating here until we saw someone walk in the door. The interior is plain. Not much of an atmosphere. Staff is OK. Just straight forward. We went to have the all you can eat sushi, not the grill, where the chef cooks in front of you. We ordered a good number of different sushi items. What can I say it was OK. Nothing grand or spectacular. It was good. Nice portions. 7/10. It tasted like any other basic all you can eat sushi place. Our waitress was nice. I was floating on giving this place a 3 star. The reason for debating on giving it 3 stars was .... bugs. There were quite a few of them flying little bugs lingering around. Not flies. Just these little bugs we kept swishing away. it wasn't a lot of them. it was like 3. Made the dinner somewhat annoying. Then they were gone. The price was expensive for all you can eat. For 2 people, you are looking at spending $110. (We had sodas for our drinks. Beer and spirits will obviously cost more)This included tip. We probably may not come back. There are better options nearby that are more price friendly and have the same taste. The only plus about this place that is better than other places is its hours. They close at 10. But the last call for sushi is at about 9:40.

My family and I have been coming to this place for over 3 year. Chef Eguie is one of the main reasons. His food is excellent as well as his hospitality. The sushi is fresh and the quality of the fish is great. Thank you chef and see you soon.

My daughter and I have been coming here for years. The food is fresh and really good. We love sushi and we tried every Sushi place around our area but we keep coming back to this resto. Service is fast and I think the price is reasonable. Sushi is not cheap. The chef is excellent. I’m not sure if he‘s the owner too coz he‘s the only one I still recognize amongst the staff. As soon as we get there, he smiles at us and we know that he already starts preparing our favorites. We usually come late night or weekend after church so we usually don’t want to wait but even if there’s a long line once we are seated, within a few mins our food is ready.

Hot Peach Sake and Hot apple Sake are delicious. They offer gluten free soy sauce and separate GF options from the rest of the tables food. Made it through two rounds of the all you can eat sushi.

Came in for lunch. Had all you can eat. Prices descent. Food was fabulous. Service quick and on point. Shout out to Eggy the sushi chef. Didn't know they were closing for good 2 days later! Sad!!!!

Picked up lunch here for me and the team. We all ordered the fried rice, steak and shrimp combo. The portion was just right, not too much so we were all able to finish our meal without feeling stuffed or heavy after. The soup was also very tasty that was included with the combo. The front door is on the 6th street side, so just a heads up. I would definitely recommend, but order ahead.

Came to this spot close to home, a friend had brought us here & the food was really good. The staff was super friendly & always attentive to what we needed. Didn’t get our servers name but the one w: the tattoos & hoop earrings was super helpfully (sorry I can’t list your name I should of told you in person) but nonetheless food + service was great

SGC Hibachi Steakhouse is a fantastic spot for anyone craving a great meal and a fun atmosphere.
